The reason you came here, my love Is my sufferance You’ve made all the way here While I was praying for it I’ve paid the price, and so have you But honey we’re back We can’t escape, neither forget You can’t forget, I can’t forget, We can’t forget the past I don’t have an answer, for now I feel I’m alive Embrace me with passion Come on; let’s dance for a while I’ve paid the price, and so have you But honey we’re back Honey we’re back Into this dream Stars came out Let’s start a dance And keep it serene Don’t stop now

You were there round the corner Did the rain make you run? Come back girl, come back I could buy an umbrella Walk you home if you want Come back girl, come back For a while, Let's pretend we are lovers Freeze the time You're so beautiful tonight You were there round the corner Did the rain make you run? Come back girl, come back I got distracted a moment Turned my head you were gone Come back girl, come back For a while, Let's pretend we are lovers Freeze the time You're so beautiful tonight Pour the wine And let's pretend that we are lovers for a night Freeze the time I want to know you're mine Come back girl, come back

Lately I’ve tried not to screw it up so badly, I will strive not to manipulate this time Overwhelmed, but I would like to please everybody I’ll be waiting for a sign Thirteen, Unlucky might seem Step back, If you see a black cat One number if you tell me I will give you a superstition One number if you tell me I will give you a superstition Come on now; give me some credit once in while Difficult, but I would like to please everyone Common sense, I will behave as it is required I‘ll be waiting for a sign One number if you tell me I will give you a superstition One number if you tell me I will give you a superstition

Untitled 04:29
One last time, and we’ll be out of here GOD knows if our star will ever shine It’s so sad, because it looked so real Now we’re stuck just for another time Ain’t it strange? Things went bad Hope our wings Grow back I see signs, but I cannot read And this doesn’t mean I’m going blind All looks good, but not enough to please All in all I’m going to decide Ain’t it strange? Things went bad Hope our wings … We cannot take back The chance we had If we lose again, we’ll need a rescue this time We can’t have back The chance we had If we lose again, we’ll end up bad We need a rescue this time And I don’t think it will change tonight

You’re in denial What do you know? I’m seeing flames So I suppose That I’m burning in You play with fire And I begin to say: Walk away, walk away! We are about to clear it all Lights will come out, before you know It’s time now, goodbye heart So different we are We had a life, now we’ll have two I will not try to comfort you I’ll say it now: goodbye heart So distant we are You‘re in denial What do you know? I see the waves So I suppose That we’re sinking in In troubled waters And I’ll begin to sail Sail away, sail away We are about to clear it all Lights will come out, before you know It’s time now, goodbye heart So different we are You were looking elsewhere Your heart is where your eyes are

Let It Burn 04:09
Don’t get offended We'll put out the fight And nothing will matter Don’t be afraid It is only right We’ll be facing the gutter I just feel it’s getting late And I know We’ll be disputing again For a while We’ll be getting along It is only fair Once we’ve lost It will never get back I must have read it somewhere I just feel it’s getting late And I know We’ll be disputing again Let it burn, don’t waste it!

On a race to nowhere On a crazy ride Fight the fire with fire Searching for the light Land without borders Like the promise land We are tired of scouting So come give us a hand Aiming for perfection But we're losing sight Now all the angels are gone, It's not so right We're all getting older Reaching out to GOD! How much more we'll get along How much more we will try We'll be questioning everything Till the end of time On a race to nowhere On a crazy ride Now all the angels are gone It's not so right We're all getting older Reaching out to GOD! We're all alike As we are One We're all getting older Reaching out to GOD!

Maria 03:44
It’s been years since you left me I believe I have been abused Memories are haunting piranhas Fault education Fear the fear but we’re getting used To fake it, to deal with, we really are Maria, what have you done, To make him hurt you so? Maria, apologize And make him let you go! Pray for salvation Broken home tell me what’s the use Memories are haunting piranhas Maria, what have you done, To make him hurt you so? Maria, apologize Don’t make him lose control! Don’t take all the blame dear You haven’t done wrong No room for regrets here It’s not your fault Maria, what have you done, To make him hurt you so? Maria, you’re praying for Forgiveness of his soul...

You’d better take your girlfriend Just pick her up and drive on to the local bar Next minute she will notice You’re jumping on the stage while playing rock guitar You are loud when pushing the pedal You will want to push on the pedal And don’t forget to make up The glitter will make you shine just like a real star Your mates just won’t believe you They’ll keep on wondering while saying “HOW BIZARRE!” Pull the strings and bend the notes Play those riffs and rock’em hard Overdrive at 5 o clock And go on, free yourself You are loud when pushing the pedal You will want to push more on the pedal

about

“(…) and within a couple of songs they have played something that sounds like it could have escaped from one of the Interpol’s earlier albums, the better ones, with that combination of solid bass, rattling drums, sweeping guitars and energetic tension. (…) And if their own songs wear their influences boldly – which they undoubtedly do: not just the Chameleons via Interpol axis but early U2, or from more recent times the dramatic drum-driven mini-anthems of The Twilight Sad – then it doesn’t matter. I’ve seen most of the British bands ploughing this particular furrow, and The Mono Jacks have better songs than pretty much all of them. This is a band who could more than hold their own on a British festival stage or support tour, and with the right backing could be the first Romanian band to break out internationally”.

"the Mono Jacks is definitely a band I intend to keep an eye on. If this foursome continues to develop their obvious talents, they have a future as the massive radio band they aspire to be."
